In order to guide you in the choice of your walks & outings, we offer a small selection of routes among the most beautiful, for beginners or experienced cyclists. On the way !
For short, half-day rides, ideal for families with little cyclists in their company
- From Camping Aux Couleurs du Ferret to Andernos-Les Bains, with a stopover in Arès.
Join the cycle path which leaves in front of the campsite. Travel 8.5 km to reach the town of Andernos Les Bains. We advise you to park your bike at the tourist office, which is near the cycle path. This is the old station of Andernos, the track being originally a railway linking the villages. Take the opportunity to discover the Andernos market, and stroll along the seafront. On the way back, a short stopover in Ares is always pleasant. Go to the oyster port, where you can savor delicious, well-deserved oysters from the Basin before returning to the campsite!
- From Camping Aux Couleurs du Ferret to the ocean beach of Grand Crohot.
Launch into the heart of the pine forest on a 9km walk to reach the 1st ocean beach near the campsite! You will discover a very pleasant track, shaded and away from traffic. Arrived at Grand Crohot, let's go for a lazy or sporty day with a surf session.
For longer day trips we recommend
- From Camping Aux Couleurs du Ferret to the tip of Cap Ferret to discover its lighthouse.
Join the cycle path which passes in front of the campsite. And off we go for a 23km ride to reach the tip of Cap Ferret! Don't worry, the route is well thought out! 2 options are available to you.
You can take the forest track. This one, oriented on the ocean side, will take you through preserved natural spaces far from traffic.
Alternatively, you can take the track on the Bassin side which crosses the various villages that make up the Presqu'Ile. This route, favored by families, allows you to make stops in the different villages in order to regain your strength! But keep some energy, because you have finally arrived at the Cap Ferret Lighthouse where you will have to climb its 258 steps to admire its exceptional view of the Bassin d'Arcachon! Memories guaranteed !
- From Camping Aux Couleurs du Ferret to the Dune du Pilat.
Join the cycle path that leaves in front of the campsite, and go to the Bélisaire jetty, in Cap Ferret (about 20km) to take the UBA maritime shuttle which will drop you off at the Thiers jetty in Arcachon. Arrived at the heart of the renowned seaside resort, it's off for 11km of track on the edge of the Basin to reach the emblematic Dune du Pilat! And we attack the ascent of it to contemplate the view of the Banc d'Arguin which is offered to you! For an unforgettable moment.
For the more athletic among us, you can reach the Dune du Pilat without taking the sea shuttle. All you have to do is take a section of the Vélodyssée and cross almost all the villages that make up the Bassin d'Arcachon. Count all the same 48km to get to the Dune from our campsite Aux Couleurs du Ferret! A great day guaranteed !
