CANAL DES ETANGS AND BENEDICTE LAKE

3km from the Aux Couleurs du Ferret campsite, this circuit allows you to discover the Canal des Étangs along its banks. This canal is the outlet of the ponds of the Médoc. It emerges into the Bassin d'Arcachon at the level of the Prés-Salés of Arès-Lège. You will find on the way in certain places a markup, set up on a part following the way of Saint Jacques de Compostelle. Count about 2 hours of walk. Ideal for an outing with our animal friends !

PRES SALES D'ARES- LEGE

This route takes the coastal path in the Prés-Salés d'Arès-Lège Nature Reserve and allows you to discover all the riches of this preserved natural area. You will need about 1 hour of walk to discover this nature reserve.

PIRAILLAN TANKS

A protected natural site and property of the Conservatoire du Littoral, the Piraillan Reservoirs are made up of salt water bodies and wooded islets that are home to a wide variety of animal and plant species. Along the marked trail “Chemin des Mousses”, the benches invite the walker to observe the landscapes. There is also a shorter circuit, embellished with “photographic terminals” inviting the walker to discover the history of this landscape. Go for a walk of around 1 hour. Dogs are welcome, kept on a leash.

CAP FERRET DUNES ABECEDARY

The Primer of the Dunes in Cap Ferret is a landscape interpretation trail. On this path which runs along the back of the dune, you will discover from north to south a large photo album which unfolds according to the alphabet from A for "Seaweed" to Z for "Zostera". This walk takes about 3 hours.

BY MOVING AWAY FROM THE PENINSULA

THE DOMAINE DE CERTES AND GRAVEYRONS IN AUDENGE

You can set off on the 14 km route of the Domaine de Certes or the 5 km route of the Domaine de Graveyron. On your way, if you look up, you will see swans, egrets and many other species will be right by your side! Nature lovers will greatly appreciate this moment.

THE TEICH ORNITHOLOGICAL RESERVE

Equip yourself with a pair of binoculars at the entrance to the site to admire the very slow flight of a gray heron or try to recognize certain species from the observatories on the path of the ornithological reserve of Teich. Nature and bird lovers will be delighted by this walk, of nearly 6km on this loop path. You will find on your way observation huts that allow you to observe nature in all weathers!

THE COASTAL TRAIL AT GUJAN MESTRAS

The coastal path in Gujan Mestras is located between the waters of the Bassin d'Arcachon, the salt meadows, the 7 oyster ports and the old fish reserves. This trail can be walked in all seasons and at all tides. What is pleasant is that the landscape is never the same. Depending on the tide, either you think you are crossing a savannah, or you are crossing footbridges just above the water. Discover this exceptional environment on a course of almost 9km!
