The festivals of Lège

In Lège, the last Saturday of June the tradition is in the spotlight. First party of the summer, it is an opportunity for everyone to meet in the heart of the village to share a festive and friendly moment.

A traditional market in the morning, introduction to traditional dances with, among other things, fandango, polka, mazurka, stick dances... young and old can discover the village of Lège by horse-drawn carriage.

A craft market on which creators display their products and their know-how throughout the day: the means of discovering unique and unusual local productions, for the youngest, a toy market.

Open-air catering based on local products including warm oysters with snail butter, duck breast, sardines….

And to close, a big dance ball with fireworks in the evening.

The festivals of the Peninsula

This big party where the oyster is Queen, traditionally takes place on the 1st weekend of August in Claouey, place Bertic, facing the Basin. It takes place over 3 days during which visitors will be able to discover:

A catering area with aperitif-tapas each evening, the greediest can finish the meal by feasting on pancakes.

A promotional stand of the SNSM

A big petanque competition, during the 3 evenings, from 10 p.m., a big ball

A fireworks display on Sunday evening, at the end of the festival

Fairground attractions that take place over 4 days: around twenty regular rides with in particular the "Mini-Huit", in which you can discover the sensations of a roller coaster as a family, or the "Palais des Glaces", in which you are sure you can get in but will you be able to get out...?

Sea festivals

At Le Canon, 3 days of celebration to pay tribute to the sea in a warm atmosphere and always in the spotlight of seafood and oysters...

High point: the day of August 15 with Mass in the open air, nautical parade with the blessing of the boats, the laying of wreaths at sea in tribute to deceased sailors, a great fireworks display in the evening.

Traditional sailing regattas, a major pétanque competition

For 3 days, the Lège-Cap Ferret Rugby Club offers oysters, sausages, fried calamari, sardines, mussels, fries, cheese and dessert and pancakes.

Every evening, a big ball by the pool with DJ entertainment offering the greatest hits from yesterday to today, young and old alike can enjoy the fairground attractions of the party.

Festivals in the village of l'Herbe

At the end of August, the end of summer is approaching, “La Fête du village de L'Herbe” is the occasion for a last meeting between summer visitors and inhabitants with:

An open-air mass on the forecourt of the chapel of the Algerian villa.

Traditional sailing regattas.

Beach games, costume contests, angling in the village well, torchlight procession.

Pétanque competitions for children and adults.

Open-air catering for lunch and dinner punctuates the two days offered by the Lège-Cap Ferret football club.

A grand ball in the evening with the traditional fireworks display on Sunday evening.

“Outdoor” meetings

During the summer period, concerts, shows, cinema, evening gourmet markets... a rich and varied program for outings with family or friends. All dates will be displayed during the week on the slates of the campsite reception.
