The peninsula of Lège Cap Ferret & the Cap Ferret

LEGE BOURG

Camping Aux Couleurs du Ferret is located in the village of Lège. It opens the doors to the peninsula of Lège Cap Ferret up to the tip of Cap Ferret. Indeed, by bike right out of the campsite or by car, you will discover the beauties of the Cap Ferret peninsula.
Administrative capital of the Presqu'île, it welcomes local traders and a market twice a week, for your shopping during your stay with us.
A haven of peace at the gates of the ocean!
Only 8 km separate Lège from the famous ocean beaches of Grand Crohot.
These immense ocean beaches are the meeting place for surfers and vacationers looking for idleness.

CLAOUEY – LE FOUR – LES JACQUETS

Located 8km from the campsite, the village of Claouey lives to the rhythm of the tides.
This is the right place to start a paddle or kayak trip in peace, towards the next villages.
Do not hesitate to stop at its tourist office, which will accompany you in the completion of the program of your holidays in the Bassin d'Arcachon!
You will find in the village of Four a tree climbing and a mini-golf, which will delight the whole family!

Continuing, we advise you to stop at the village of Les Jacquets. You will have to be patient in order to discover the tasting huts, set back from the main axis... But these are worth the detour!

PETIT PIQUEY AND GRAND PIQUEY

From Petit Piquey, you easily reach the ocean beach of Truc Vert and its surf spot via the forest road or the cycle path.
The village of Grand Piquey is a reference for divers because it is here that you will find the only diving club on the peninsula!

PIRAILLAN

Nature lovers will be delighted to discover the reservoirs of Piraillan! You will travel through a nature reserve of approximately 40 hectares.
The reservoirs are full of all kinds of fish: sea bass, mullet, plaice, sea bream and shrimp...
Each season, the fauna and flora of the Piraillan reservoirs evolve.
More than 350 plant species are identifiable.
Depending on the season, a hundred species of birds live on the site (heron, little egret, etc.)

You can follow one of the two marked walks or benefit from the accompaniment of a specialized guide.

LE CANON

Lose yourself in the alleys of the oyster-farming village of Le Canon, where beautiful brightly colored wooden huts line the beach.

Le Canon also has a pier, from where you can leave by shuttle or boat to discover the treasures of the Bassin d'Arcachon.

L'HERBE

The village of l'Herbe is surely one of the most beautiful villages on the peninsula!
This village is very similar to the Canon village, and promises a magical moment suspended in time!
We advise you to stop in one of its oyster huts, in order to taste a plate of oysters, accompanied by a glass of white wine...
You also invite you to discover the Algerian Villa and its chapel, facing the Bassin.

LA VIGNE

Last village before Cap Ferret towards the tip, it is also here that you will find the only marina on the peninsula.
La Vigne is also known and appreciated for its lively restaurants and bars in the evening. It is one of the liveliest places on the Cap Ferret peninsula, very popular with young people in all seasons.

CAP FERRET

You have finally arrived at the tip of Cap Ferret.
Here, you will find no less than 6 beaches in the village: the Horizon, the Dunes, the Point, the American Beach, the Center Beach and the Phare Beach.
Cap Ferret is undoubtedly the best place on the peninsula for a shopping spree. Its indoor & outdoor market is worth a visit during the summer season!
You will also discover its famous lighthouse, overlooking the Bassin d'Arcachon.
For the bravest among you, you will have to climb its 258 steps to admire the panoramic view.

No doubt, our Campsite in Lège Cap Ferret will be the starting point for your real vacation.
